Cinemas of Asia is the Journal of the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema, NETPAC. Founded in 1990, NETPAC is the leading platform to discover, document and promote Asian Cinema. Annually, the NETPAC prize is awarded in more than 28 international film festivals. Cinemaya, The Asian Film Quarterly was the driving force behind the creation of NETPAC. Until 2005, it also served as NETPAC’s official journal.
Cinemas of Asia carries on the fine tradition and pioneering spirit of Cinemaya.
Cinemas of Asia is guided by the NETPAC Board, presided by Aruna Vasudev, with Philip Cheah and Jeannette Paulson Hereniko as its Vice-Presidents.
